The Father provides just in time
Posted by admin on March 23rd, 2008 filed in Faith, ThankfulJust what I need, another thing to break or go wrong. My couch which is accent broke not to long ago and I been holding it together with telephone cord, could have used duck tape. Between all of the changes in reemployment I have faced along with my husband, we figured some things we needed was much more important then a new couch would could cost us several hundred bucks. I was not really praying about this problem, when my monitor broke I chose to get that before putting away money for a couch, and well lets face it, my school shortfall went before the couch to. I figured we’d just have to fix the couch as best we could and live with it and maybe have friends seat somewhere else.
This weekend I had a conversation with a friend at church I been ministering to by bring her to church and simply sharing with her. I see her as a friend, even through I haven’t known her long. At first I wonder why me, but I understand that there is a reason why, because G-d knew I would understand her and relate to her, He also knew my personality could work with her. I seem to have a ability to be very direct with out seeming that way or very direct with seeming that way. The person I take does not want a free ride from us, and insist on giving us a few bucks when we bring her to church, we don’t want to take her money. What we end up normally doing with the money is giving it to the church for their use. I have grown close to her over the past few months and see her as a friend and to be honest I miss her when she is not able to come.
On Friday I spoked with her for a few minutes about going to church but she normally don’t want to go when the weather is bad, I always invite her if I do not hear from her just to make sure she feels welcome. While talking to her she was telling me about her getting a new couch. We talked for a bite about her couch and where she got it and I had asked how much did that cost ya. What she described sounded nice. I told her, my husband and I have to save up for a new couch and it would help me know a price range to save toward. She told me I have a good hid abed couch here that I am planning on giving to the good well but if you need it I rather give it to you. After lunch at church I decided I go and look at it make sure it was something that would be good, or work well for my husband and I. My husband was worried that it might not be a couch in good condition. I understand that worry but I knew I could trust that it would be because she doesn’t seem as a person who offer someone something they have to throw out anyways.
I got to her place and saw it was a good couch the cushions where soft but still form, it was clean and looked just about new. I was surprised how good the couch looked. I decided it be good to take the couch, and while there she offered me a chair that went with the couch. The couch is actually tall enough so I don’t fall like I am about to fall down to the floor, and the same with the chair. The couch is almost like having discount home theater seating in my living room. It is so comfortable. G-d has a way of blessing me and my husband when we need it. To be honest it never ceases to amaze me the way G-d will provide for us. Many things we have got have been given as a blessing to us, we don’t ask but things sometimes just get offered.
