Giving what we can
Posted by admin on May 5th, 2008 filed in HealingPretty soon some people will be getting that income IRS rebate. I am expecting one, and trying to come up with a good bpm for it. I know there are a few things I need to do with it, like get windshield wipers for my van and get some work done on my van and then try to pay for some of my college shortful, but i am afraid my van will take a good percentage of what I will be getting back from them.
On Saturday during announcements someone came up, and shared they felt G-d wanted us to give our rebate to Rabbi or the Church. Well I have no problem with that expecially if a person is lead to do so. I believe G-d will bless us when we give if he tells us to give. Maybe we won’t get the same money back but there are many blessing G-d gives us. I had no problems with what she had said, and kind of agreed with her. I wish, we where at a point that giving that money wouldn’t mean not getting the car fix and well lets see we are low on food. I am coming off of being pretty much not working and playing catch up with everything. Today, I was talking to someone from CA, and we where sharing about the jobs and how they are hard to come by.
Lately I have had few people from my local grocery store encourage me to apply for a job. Well why not I am not working stable hours and maybe this would be a way to provide for college expenses and other things. For many moons, I haven’t been able to give financially I do when I can, but I don’t believe G-d would want us to give money when it is needed for rent, or other important things. When I have money I give, and I do help other when they need it even if I don’t have the means. Now I will say I felt lead to give I would give. I also know that in the Old Testament when they where building the temple G-d instructed that each give according to what they could.
