Fast fix
Posted by admin on August 3rd, 2008 filed in Faith, RepentanceI was talking to a friend last night. She had called me with some problems, I won’t go into to many details but they felt the fasts fix was the best. Sometimes we as humans want to find a fast fix, so we do not have to put any work into the problem. I have a few friends like this, normally my friend depend on me to help them sometimes it is hard. There are days I wish I could tell a couple of them go ahead leave your mate, and teach them a lesson but for the most that’s the easy way out.
There are only 2 reason to leave a marriage one is unfaithfulness and the other one is abuse. Abuse is just as dangerous as unfaithfulness. After dealing with that friend, I had another friend text me to tell me what was happening. She was annoyed with her husband for gambling honestly I am worried it has became a problem because he has started laying to friends about his habits and if it’s costing their family any money. Later today we received a phone call from the husband to apologize to us. I was clear with him, how I felt and then I told him he needed to talk to my husband. My husband is normally not the more direct one between us. He is normally the mild one, the one who doesn’t say it as it is. It was interesting to hear and see our roles totally reverse. We have forgiven him but at the same time, we let him know what we thought. When we do bible study after our series, I am supposed to pick up something and do it. I have a few things I would like to share about, and now I have to figure out which lesson I want to teach. I think my husband should do a lesson on being honest, and how it ties up with the bible or maybe I should do it. It is amazing how many believers I have caught in not so honest sistuation and it really is mind boggling. At our prayer meeting a couple of weeks ago one of the guys brought up the believer who comes to the Messiah then friends out the person who lead them wasn’t real. They would start questioning their faith and if their was truly any faith to begin with. This is true, we are dealing with a friend who is right now dealing with the aftermath of a wolf in sheep clothing. Yesterday at church one of our members is leaving to do mission work in another country, he brought up this same thing of having trust broken by those who lead you to the Messiah. As believer we need to make sure our lives or reflecting what we believe, or we could lead other people into destruction with us.
There are so many company that say they are the diet pill that works, but most of them never talk about the work that the person needs to do to accomplish the weight loss. Yes their pills might work but with out exercise and continuing to keep the weight off eventually that weight would be gained again.
