Joseph and his mom

In Genesis Jacob is married to Rachel, Rachel seeing she wasn’t giving him any sons gave him her Maid servant. I couldn’t imagine giving my husband another girl, so we could have a child, it must have been hard for Rachel to do this. Her servant had several children with Jacob before Rachel finally got pregrenet with Joseph. Joseph was Jacob favorite child because he was the first child of Rachel.

In Gensis 22 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and opened her womb. 23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, “God has taken away my disgrace.” 24 She named him Joseph, [h] and said, “May the LORD add to me another son.”

Joseph was a dreamer and later it would get him in trouble. I wonder what would have happened if Joseph kept to himself the prophetic dreams G-d had given him. His brother begin to hate him and later they sold him to slavery, they sold him for money to be a slave in Egypt. This is pretty harsh but it’s better then they wanted to do to him in the first place. Would Joseph have been in Egypt before the famine and been able to be placed in power so he could provide for his family. At this time in History Joseph was a savior of Israel, G-d had placed him there to provide for his people. I am sure when He was in Jail he didn’t feel like G-d really had a plan for him. When he was forgotten about in jail I am sure he was wondering a little bit about why.
He was a innocent man sent to jail but maybe he belong there for when Pharaoh decided to arrest his baker and cup bearer. Later Joseph would meet his bother who threw him in Jail and then he had compassion on them. His family came to Egypt because that was the only place which had food, guess they would have no need for diet pills. They would have starved had they not went out because there was nothing around for them.
