What’s important

With the economy and the bail out being a problem. Sometimes we need to stop and ask ourselves what is important to us. Yesterday I was watching the news and I have to admit I was a little floored because I never realized something. I for the first time realized some of our politicians had their own planes to get to places, I guess this should shock me because so do some pastors. I was a little annoyed because of the crisis our economy is in, shouldn’t they be willing to use the public transportation, or something where they are putting money back into the economy.
I am not coming down on them, my husband and I had a conversation last night, about this and about the actors and actresses wanting to strike. Okay I can tell what important to our rich people of this country it isn’t helping the economy to say the least it meeting their selfish need of being self important. I am so important I have to have my own plane, my own everything so I don’t have to be with the people of the world.
Yeshua back in his day turned over the tables of the traders because they where taking advantage of G-d’s people and turning G-ds house into something that wasn’t okay in His eyes. I honestly think we need to get this country back to the Basics of the Bible all the way back to the Torah, where G-d gave us instruction of how do we treat our neighbors. Widows back in those days wouldn’t have been forgotten about so easily because their relatives where supposed to take care of them. I am not saying we go back to where woman have to say at home and take care of all the family stuff. I am saying we need to get back to the fundamentals of what this country was founded on.
I am sorry but why should people get raises when they are some of the highest earning incomes in the world, why should people like myself and my husband be taxes heavier because we don’t earn in a higher tax range. If they want to help “main street” stop trying to raise taxes, stop giving out loans to people who simply can’t afford them loans. I would say start getting the church to step up and help families in need and stop having the government trying to do it.
We claim we want to show the Love of Yeshua to our bother but how many Churches have services for those in their community who are struggling. Not many… We do a lot of complaining about what our economy is doing but how many people are actually trying to act on it and trying to improve it.
The Ten commandments which G-d gave us, I think we need to get back to that and study it and learn it and them implement it in our lives. I honestly don’t think people need more, I think people need to learn how to be happy with what they have especially if they are in the higher income range. Yes people who are barely making it each month need to be making more.
Something my husband and I talked about is some of the church doctrine the prosperity movement was something we talked about. How my husband summed it up was, if your rich and your pockets are over flowing with cash, this is a sign of how much G-d loves you. Now if your poor and barely making it, G-d don’t love you enough or your just all wrong. There is one movement I don’t like in the church and it’s the prosperity movement, because how much money you have doesn’t show much much G-d loves you. What G-d wants is our willingness to listen and follow him. He don’t require that we have money or hey never get sick. Yeshua disciples where not rich and he chose them, Yeshua walked with the sick, he chose them and chose to heal them. So here’s what I say to that, most people who got that money in the church maybe G-d has blessed them but that don’t make them any more loved then a less well to do person. G-d don’t care if my husband have to shop around for the best health insurance quote, because that don’t make our hearts, what makes our hearts is our willingness and obedience to G-d.
