Sabbath Part 2

In Numbers 15: 32 while the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, “The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp.” 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.
Now days we will not be put to death for not honoring the L-rds day but it’s still important to take note of this. Through the Torah or Old Testament G-d was very adamant his Sabbath be observed. G-d knows our hearts and He still loves us even if we have the wrong Sabbath, I know he understand that when people are mislead sometimes it because of man. Unlike us G-d don’t need Nikon binoculars, he sees everything, and is everywhere. G-d loves us but he did give us a Sabbath.
Moving on to what my Christian friends call the New Testament.
Matthew 28:1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
Why does the writer of Matthew says “After the Sabbath” This to me shows me that the writer and the people who followed the Messiah still worship on Saturday the 7th days of the week.
Matthew 1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
8So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
The Angel didn’t say the Sabbath was changed neither. But he did instruct them what they needed to do. Yeshua does a lot of his Teaching on the Sabbath, the Bible is clear when he is teaching on the Sabbath. So doesn’t look like Yeshua changed the Sabbath during his time of ministry neither.
This verse I hear often as a change of Sabbath but I think that maybe his disciples where simply hungry and taking what they needed, it doesn’t say they cooked it just simply picked it.
Mark 2: 23One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain. 24The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
25He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? 26In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.”
27Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
Yeshua disciples pretty much did the same thing as David did when he was hungry, David had broken the law and went unpunished also because he and his companions needed food and G-d saw that need and fulfilled it.
