Does G-d change
Posted by admin on December 14th, 2008 filed in FaithRecently something was said to me, about how G-d is different then he was in the Old Testament. Well does G-d change, He does tell us that he is the same yesterday today and forever he never changes. So now, with the knowledge why would he change his law or requirements for HIS People, if he doesn’t change, G-d don’t make mistakes. Am I saying we have to obey all the Laws in the Old Testaments no; 1 some of those laws can not be done because there is no temple. 2 we do not live in the land of Israel, but some of those laws we should look at and see if maybe they are applicable to our lives because they just might make our lives easier. 3 Some of the laws where strictly for the priest and for other people like prophets those laws we cannot follow and do not need to follow. 4 The Ten Commandments is just the slightest requirement and living up to it doesn’t make us righteous.
If the Old Testament is no longer valid then Yeshua would have abolish the law, and he clearly stated that he came to fulfill the law. Yeshua would have told us he abolished the law and it was no longer valid if that was the case. But instead he is found qouting scripture from the Old Testament. So that being said, there is no way G-d changed. His still wants us to worship only him. The Ten Commandments can tell us if we are meeting at least the very lowest expectation of G-d. It can’t make us righteous. Did G-d do away with the law through Yeshua no, so I believe that the law of not eating unclean food is still in place, and that Paul vision had nothing to do with removing that law. Back in those days Paul would not have been with a non-Jewish person it wouldn’t have been allowed in that time, or would have been looked down upon, so when that guy came to get Paul G-d need to let Paul know it was okay to go with the Gentile. So in a sense G-d was telling Paul do not call a Man unclean which I have called Cleaned. Paul would have thought of his physical circumcision and not his of his heart being circumcised for G-d.
As believer it is important for us to learn some of our bible history and to read the bible with out seeking for a bunch of other people translation of what his Word means. Before going to Bible college I read my bible on my own and when I read it at first I didn’t have a bunch of teaching to cloud of interpretation of scripture with some right and wrong teaching. I just had what I was reading, never once did I read my bible that G-d did away with all the laws, and with his Sabbath. I learned how to worship G-d but when I listen to other I sometimes got lead to the wrong path of worship. It like trying to pick a over the counter med for a cold, you have to sometimes look at which works best. Sometimes what work for one doesn’t work well for another, so it’s best to sometimes way in your own experience and interpretation of things. I am not saying that I am always right in how I read the word of G-d but I do know if I am searching for HIM and allow him to show me he will guide me to the right information and understanding. Just like looking for
Ephedrasil hardcore I have to find out all my information before making a decision on something. So the answer to my question does G-d change no. He does how ever compermise with people like he did with those who where with Moshe.
