Sharing
Posted by admin on January 23rd, 2009 filed in FaithI can’t remember who I was talking to the other day. But I know it was someone from church. We where talking about sharing burdens and how it’s important. Someone brought up that at some church it’s not safe to do so and you get treated differently if you share your burdens. It’s like you have to put on a act in church so no one can know your hurting or need support. My response was why are we told to share our burdens and help when we can.
I am a firm believer that when there is a burden, even if it as simple as listening it important for us believers to listen to support and then to help them if it within our means of being able to. I do not think this should just be in church but also out around us with those who we don’t know. Normally at night I will not stop for people broke down on the highway I am a woman, so this would maybe be dangerous, but know if I am out and about and can see the person car is broken I will stop and help unless I know it’s something I can’t do or I see they have a cellphone. I enjoy helping people.
On Saturdays I go early with my husband to church, I am not required to help but I just can’t sit their and watch him work and do stuff, so normally I will find something that helps him out. I don’t do it for being known, no one around usually but me or him and later in the morning one other person. When my husband told me that leadership at church knew about it, I was like how, because none of them are there yet other then one person. I guess things get said amongst leadership. I saw a need and decided it be nicer to help, then to sit on my backside doing nothing, had nothing to do with see what I am doing.
Sometimes the hardest thing is wanting to do what is needed to be done because maybe it just seems like it’s not that important or something we simply do not like. I hate cleaning but if I see a mess at church when I get there I do it, figure someone has to do it, might as well get it done.
Cleaning can be like a good acne treatments, but sometimes other factors make it messy.
