Providing and trusting
Posted by admin on March 9th, 2009 filed in ThankfulThe hardest thing sometimes is trusting that G-d will provide our needs when we simply can’t. It hard not to let fear over run us expecially when it things we want or need. I have noticed a lot of fear in dad, he’s 86 and is adjusting to not being able to live on his own. He doesn’t cook for hisself, he don’t clean and pretty much needs to be told to take baths and change clothes. I love dad but sometimes it gets hard to have to tell him, you need to take a shower, or go change your clothes you can’t stay in them like that. Since dad moved down here he gotten all his needs meet and most of his wants meet.
Recently I got a check in the mail for college, and I needed a laptop I didn’t know I was going to get this check and I was working on saving money but every time I got close, something came up that dad or someone needed in the house, so I give my laptop money up. I started asking, if I keep giving it away to other needs how am I going to get my laptop for school. I need one becuase my old one wasn’t meeting all my needs, well this student loan extra paid for that, and because the laptop is for school I was able to get it with that… I only needed a laptop, and got another bag to go with it. I gave my old laptop to my husband, along with the bag. I had enough money lift over for a class I am taking on line, so I decided I’d leave it in my saving account and use it incase I need something for school. I am sure I won’t nothing as expensive as office furniture for school.
Dad needed some shoes and clothes, so yesterday we took him to get shoes and then over to Wal-mart we found him 3 shirts, and 2 pairs of pants, boxes and sleep where for when he stays with Granny. We are going to Illinios this week. Dad had the money for this, but not for a new shaver which he been needing for a while. Last night he brought it up again, and I decided we’d go and stop and I would get him his shaver, and paid for it. I told him I took care of it and he assumed he was out of money, I told him no I just decided to get it for you, so you’d have more money in your account.
If it wasn’t for my hubby and I, dad wouldn’t be able to live on his own. He doesn’t live on his own now, but he can come and go as he likes, and he will always have what he needs.
