Reflective pause
Posted by admin on March 20th, 2009 filed in UncategorizedSometimes it is very hard to pause and wait for an answer. It seems everything area of our lives are fast, you can get a meal in under 5 minutes, can make a phone call in less then 10 seconds, and you can prepare some meals in less then a half hour. We are so used to rushing, and getting from one placed to the next. From where I live to where my granny lives, it could take up to 3 hrs to get their counting all the time in both airports, and time in the car from both airports. We normally drive down, and the shortest amount of time we made it was when granny was deathly ill and that was under 6 hours with one lunch stop and one gas stop both taking about a half hour each.
This week at Granny I noticed the hurry up and rush mantality that has always been in my family. Hurry up get her and there, don’t really take any time to enjoy people company. Granny has a habit of planning our time there and sometimes it hard to deal with the schedule this year was better at least we got to sleep in to a point. I decided it was best to keep Shadow dad’s dog on the same schedule as home becuase it not fair changing it to much.
I wonder what the fastest Machu Picchu travel would be able to get us there. The last time I took the Train it was 7 hours, and greyhound was about 9 hours. Back before cars we are probably talking about a 2 to 3 days trip maybe even longer then that because it is close to 400 miles from this part of MN to where Granny lives.
Yesterday at dance they where talking about a reflective pause which we are to give when we are waiting on the L-rd. My response to that was Yes but it’s hard to do that sometimes becuase everything is always so fast and busy so waiting 10 minutes or longer on the L-rd is hard. Shoot some people don’t even wait a minute on him. They give HIM 10 seconds and it’s amen. Sometimes we need to simply wait and be patient but that hard because now days you don’t have to wait on much.
