No Halloween
Posted by admin on November 1st, 2009 filed in UncategorizedAs a child, I will admit we went trick or treating and I didn’t see anything wrong with it. Now as I have learned about G-ds appointed times and even before that I had stopped celebrating Halloween. Halloween is a Pagan holiday. So if I am going to honor G-d, celebrating it would be wrong. There are several places in G-ds Torah where we are told what to observe. He even went as far as telling us not to worship him the way the pagans do, so why should we do.
Even with the my fond child hood memories I won’t allow my children when I have them to dress up for Halloween. Where I work there was some pressure to dress up this year but I decided I didn’t have the money for it. I am glad I didn’t because I would have probably felt I was doing something wrong. It is sometimes hard to follow my beliefs when not many believe the same. It’s easier choosing a tv stand then choosing to do the right thing.
