Determining ethics

Ethics is something I have done a lot of studying on. It is hard to know because people who take care of disable people or a church are held at a higher ethical standard then most. I am well aware how easy it is for members of a church to place their pastor or even rabbi in a place they aught to never be. I have done that in the past, trying to believe and trust everything they say but it hard to know. I am one of those members who a nightmare for my Rabbis or pastors I have had because I have no trouble asking question or well not simply believing everything they say.
Recently my hubby and I had to answer questions about ethics. I had shared with a dear member some of our personal struggles, to be honest we both where sharing with each other. They ended up blessing hubby and I in the long run, and I can’t say how grateful I am. It was a blessing and something needed but when I shared I didn’t expect them to help. My husband and I both had to question the ethics because hubby leads the liturgy and people see him as a leader. He was worried that it could be seen wrong, but we prayed about it I talked to the wife of the couple about the concerns. We ended up deciding it was okay to receive their help. It was a G-d send and a blessing and part of what help me determine it would be okay, was that sometimes G-d will provide the need by allowing people to know and sometimes he will simply have them pray. I determined it wasn’t going to go against ethics because it was a honest need that I had and well in away hubby too.
In the Bible it talked about how in the New Testament that the believers gave to those who had needs. My husband and I were last night talking about tiding and well frankly how to encourage people to tide with out doing a bunch of sermons about tithing. One thing I have loved about our Rabbi he seldomly talks about tithing. We where talking about it because hubby would like to be a Rabbi and have it be his full time job. Right now with me being in college that could be hard since I am only able to work part-time, there will be no christmas cards even if I celebrated it. Actually I might print out a few Hanukkah cards this year with pictures of hubby and I, for family and let them have that. You know there like 3 spelling for the same word, lol I don’t think it’s like that in Hebrew problem with English translation. Well, anyways hubby and I were talking about using the same approach rabbi does. My hubby wants Rabbi blessing to become a Rabbi which I think it’s good it will give him someone to be accountable to but at the same time someone he trusts.
