Giving
Posted by admin on May 1st, 2010 filed in FaithToday Rabbi spoke about tithing and giving. This is a topic which normally I do not like preached because a lot get it wrong but I like the way Rabbi does it and talks about it. It is hard to give when you need to find a job but Rabbi never pressures his members to feel like they must give.
I have heard many sermons on this subject and you know I have disagreed with many pastors or teachers because I never got or believed what they where saying. G-d didn’t say you have to he said pretty much give what one your heart to give. Its amazing how people will give by compulsion or because they think they must do it for G-d to love them, but you know he provided for everyone from rich to poor to give a offering if their heart wanted to. For the rich they could have gave a bull, for a well off person they could have gave a lamb, and then for the one who didn’t have they could give a sparrow or dove.
