Do you still love me

I cannot even count the times that dad has asked me, “Do you still love me.”, or “Do you still feel the same way about me. What dad hasn’t learned or came to terms with is just because my husband and I might get frustrated or say things he don’t like to hear but that doesn’t change the fact that we love him deeply and our feelings just don’t change. Yes, dad might be difficult to deal with some days but he is not unlovable. I do not know how to get him to understand this concept. I am worried about his faith because if he cannot understand how his son and I could love him no matter what how can he understand G-d is the same.
Dad has been so used to being loved conditionally by people that it’s hard for him to believe he could be love not because he can give something but because he is simply lovable. I mean you do not get to pick our parents or in laws like you can pick cheap insurance for car or house. Now I know my sis in law is like this but this isn’t my hubby and we are different and probably a rare breed of people
