Wrong Book

I learned something to day though Rabbi Sermon. I had been talking to a couple of friends about how we have to have knowledge to grow and gain understanding of Yeshua or just about anything in life and we are destroyed for our lack of knowledge. I had told my friends that it was in the Book of Hebrew . Today Rabbi quoted the verse I like a lot because it rings true to me. The verse was Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Recently I have started spending time with a new friend I like her a lot, she a very sweet person. I feel I have to be careful and give her correct information and I know I got to talk to her and tell her that I was wrong in the book I said. I am hoping she understand sometimes people get things wrong.
I am sure she knows this, and I enjoy my time with friends. Now I am not saying Hosea and Hebrew sound anything alike they don’t and frankly in the bible they are not very close. It almost as bad as calling
outdoor chaise lounges a different brand name. G-d has always longed to communicate with his people to lead us in the path we ought to go. The problem is we always run the other direction, and do not bother to learn from those before us. So maybe ours is not always a lack of knowledge, but a unwillingness to submit to G-d. So we has believers have two things going against us the lack of knowledge and then once we gain the knowledge we do not do what we know is right.
