Only one thing
Posted by admin on November 26th, 2010 filed in ThankfulLast night we had a Thanksgiving get together, at my congregation. It was nice, and a good time to be able to connect with, and in a small group. I was surprised how few where there but many family already have their own thing. My husband wanted to make it easier on me, this year and just celebrate it with our friends. We had a time of worship, and during the first set, we were told to think G-d for one thing. I had to sit there and think, not that I do not have things I am thankful. I can not just thank of one thing. I am thankful dad is still with us, even during his bad mood days. I am thankful my husband and I are still married and have a good relationship. I am thankful that I can play on line games and waste some time, to keep my mind of of things.. I am thankful my Granny has started to do better, since she was moved into the home. She sounds better but having a hard time making friends. I know she will make friends in there and it will take a little time.
I am thankful that I will be starting my master program, and was able to maintain a solid grade point average during my bachelors. I am thankful that I can worship when I want to and I do not need to have people permission.
The list goes on, of things to be thankful for and sometimes it hard to think about it. The question is whats the most important things to be thankful for, just like body sometimes needs human growth hormone supplement sometimes the mind needs to think about all the great things in life.
