Pray before you go
Posted by admin on January 17th, 2011 filed in UncategorizedThis week I was speaking to one of our congregation about my hubby mishap. He was driving home Friday not and found himself in a place where he couldn’t get out easily. This person had asked if we prayed before we left to go places. I told her I sometimes do but not always because G-d will protect me anyways. I am not sure if my husband prayers before he leaves. Now this being said I do sometimes pray before I go, but for the most I don’t. Why pray when I leave, especially if I am already communicating with G-d through out my day he knows where i am going, I don’t need to use rubber stamps to tell him I am driving home, or to work. G-d gotten that, and if your praying to him and communicating with him you never really stop.
My husband didn’t have this accident because G-d wasn’t there, he had this accident because of his own doings. He was going to fast for conditions and he was letting other drivers make him go faster then he felt comfortable. He was driving in the left lane, which is the lane for I am to stupid to slow down, right lane would have maybe be more wise. Now my husband care being undamaged and just stuck on the side of the road was G-ds protection I believe, because my Hubby was unharmed and no one hit his car, he was safe. Granted he had to wait for a tow truck to get him out, but he was safe. Our insurance covers tows so not a big deal.
I don’t know I get frustrated with people who say well you didn’t pray, you got in trouble. Or you had your allergic reaction because of sin in your life. Well have you ever thought that maybe it not sin or lack of prayer but maybe a test of the enemy. Look what G-d allowed with Job, now I am not saying I am like Job but if G-d gave the enemy permission to test Job. Why wouldn’t he do it to us too, if the enemy asked.
