Be good if I understood more Hebrew
Posted by admin on October 2nd, 2011 filed in UncategorizedI know a little bit of Hebrew, but not enough where I feel comfortable with saying the Kaddish in Hebrew there are simply to many words for me to try to figure out. The mourner prayer brings the focus back to G-d and to his promise. I lost my grandma recently and I am taking it hard! She was very important to me. The congregation we are attending right now does most of their prayers in Hebrew. I do not mind but some of them to me seem easier to recite in English. If your English speaking that is, now if you have a good understanding of Hebrew then saying it in Hebrew is Okay.
I know G-d put granny in my life for a reason, and I know that she done a lot for me. I am grateful that G-d put someone in my life as stubborn as Granny, because I needed her. She was not going to back down to any fights that any one gave her and she knew when she took me there would be challenges.
Grandma, once told me I could accomplish anything I put my mind too, she would have encouraged me to be a Physicians & Surgeons Jobs if I so wanted.
The Kaddish does help in bring back the focus to our maker. I have to trust that one day I will see her again in Heaven or the 2nd coming. I know G-d numbers our days and when a love one passes to us it will always be to soon.
